course designed to help coaches and parents better understand
players U10 and below. It promotes the premise that through
a better understanding of how children progress psychologically

National
Youth Sports Coaches Association. Training in Youth
Coaching is available through the NYSCA. This Association,
founded in 1981, has certified over a million coaches in
the United States and abroad with the goal of "Making
Sports Fun For Kids." At the end of the season, the
three objectives for each child in sports program are: Did
the child have fun? Did the child learn and progress in
their chosen sport? Do they want to come back and play again?
NYSCA is there to help meet those objectives. Through this
program, coaches learn the special skills it takes to be
a successful youth coach and that, in the end, wins and
losses don't even compare to the values of sportsmanship,
hard work, and teamwork taught through participation in
youth sports. |
