Palm Bay Youth Soccer Club offers 3 different seasons:
Fall: The Fall season begins in mid-August and runs through November. Ten league games are played on Saturdays and sometimes Sunday afternoons.
Spring: Spring soccer season spans from March to mid May. Eight league games are played on Saturdays and sometimes Sunday afternoons.
Winter: The Winter season is a short 3-a-side season that runs approximatley 5-6 weeks and begins in mid January. Winter 3v3 seasons are fast paced, with 2-3 short games every Saturday.

Palm Bay Youth Soccer has programs for all youth age groups:
U-5/6
U5/6 soccer is a form of 'pre-soccer', with an emphasis on fun. There's a high amount of energy in these games, and U5/6 is sometimes called 'bumble bee ball'; there's a lot of running, jumping, and kicking. It's a lot of fun to play and watch.

U-7/8

U7/8 soccer begins introducing basic ball mastery skills in the form of special practice games and activities. Simple, easy games develop simple, easy to learn skills.

U-9/10

U9/10 ages build on the basics with a slightly broader range of 'touch' skills. Teamwork factors in, and players begin to develop confidence in their abilities and try out their skills or a few new moves during games.

UU-11/12

U11/12 continues to expand on the 'good habits' learned in previous seasons. Learning shooting, juggling and foot skills is a big part of training, with teamwork becoming more of a factor.

U-13/14

emphasizes teamwork along with a range of more advanced ball mastery skills. Players start to learn that the game is really played with their brains. This often comes as a big surprise to everyone!

UU-15/16

concentrates on teamwork and fast attack small group tactics. Skills training continue in earnest as players begin to hone and take pride in their "personal moves".

U-19

is all about teamwork, fast attack tactics and game strategy. Players at this age level are often 'hard-core' and have been playing 10-15 years. Most will be playing to stay in shape for their high school teams. Some will be on their way to college teams next season.

Palm Bay Youth Soccer has a variety of program levels:
Recreational: Recreational (or "Rec") soccer is designed to provide a fun atmosphere, where players can both learn the game and develop the skills necessary to play it well. Our teams comprise a whole gamut of experience -- from raw beginners to children who play every season. Our emphasis is on having fun. Recreational soccer typically begins between ages 4 all the way through to 18. The philosophy of recreation is to create a fun environment that players learn the basics of soccer and teamwork. Players are encouraged to begin in the recreational tier to obtain basic knowledge and to understand the game of soccer. Recreational soccer is a great opportunity for beginners and experienced players who want limited competition and a more relaxed atmosphere with emphasis on having fun.

Competitive - This program is based on tryouts and the selection process that focuses on players that show the potential to play at the highest level in soccer. Players are subjected to intense training by licensed coaches to ensure players receive the best possible techniques and tactics. The emphasis for the competition program is to develop the player to their fullest soccer potential and to encourage growth to possibly play in high school and college. The age groups within this program range from U9 to U18. Comp teams require try-outs for player selections. Participating in the tryout process does not guarantee that the player will be selected. Even those players that were on a competitive team last year must be re-evaluated before being selected. Competitive teams travel to play at other club's fields as well as home games on our fields. Competitive teams usually practice twice a week and use professional trainers. The competitive season runs for both the fall and spring season. After the regular season ends most teams will continue to practice and enter tournaments. Competitive teams are issued higher quality uniforms and equipment. Teams are assembled after try-outs in May/June.

One of the most important aspects of any competitive program is not only the commitment of the player but also the parent. The coaches put in a tremendous amount of volunteer time and the expectation is that anyone selected will take this seriously, and to give it his/her best effort. We do request that you carefully consider the expectation of the competitive program before committing to join this program. It not only is a commitment throughout the regular season but also tournaments which require travel to other parts of Florida as well as sometimes out of state. Again, this is not only a time commitment for the parents it is also a monetary commitment tournament fees, travel costs to include hotels and meals are the responsibility of the parent. Teams usually look for sponsors and participate in fundraisers to help offset the expense.
