Coaching Manual Available

PBYS Director of Coaching, John McGeough has produced a Coaching Manual for PBYS. This document contains a full practice curriculum for each age group. It also contains valuable information for every coach from first year rec coaches to the experienced comp coach. You can find this document on the Training tab of this website. FALL SEASON UPDATE

GAMES START August 16th for U16 & U18 Recreational teams

GAMES START September 6th for all remaining Recreational (U5, U6, U8, U10, U12, U14)teams All players should be contacted by their coach no later than 2 weeks prior to game start.

Palm Bay Youth Soccer Welcomes New Director of Coaching John McGeough

John McGeough has accepted the postion of Director of Coaching for PBYS effective 1 August. John has a successful history of coaching to include: Palm Bay High School, Merritt Island High School, Mens League, Olympic Development Coach, in addition to15 years of coaching at the youth level with PBYS since 1991. John is a "B" licensed coach and has been a Social Studies teacher at Palm Bay High for 16 years. John's objective is to utilize his vast experience as a player, coach and administrator to stimulate the coaching and player development within the club, advancing PBYS to one of the premier clubs within the county. U14 GIRLS PLACE 1ST IN DC CUP

The U14 Rec Girls known as the Green Team coached by Tom Trist and Cheryl Marston participated in the DC Cup. The girls played tremendous. They placed first during the round robin weekend (May 17th and 18th) which enabled them to advance to the semi-final/final weekend. They played again May 31st and June 1st and took first place. The team consisted of the following 14 awesome girls: Cynthia B., Tessa G., Shelby R., Shella T., Ashley G., Michelle M., Kershana C., Shannon M., Katlyn B., Rachael S., Lauren L., Isabella M., Kimberly W.and Stephanie S. GREAT JOB GIRLS!!!!

CONGRATULATIONS TO THE CHAMPIONS

Congratulations goes out to the Fury 98 team who had a 16-0-2 record (19-0-2 with the BYSL playoffs)for the year in regular league play and also took home the BYSL Championship trophy.The players are Ezzie C.,Tricia F,Emily G.(fall 07),Jenna G.,Kiarra G.,Macey H.,Jessica L.,Emily R.,Marissa T.(spring 08) and Amber W.. The team coaches are Dan Grimes and Marcel Chukwunenye. Great job Girls!!!!

U11 GIRLS END SPRING WITH THREE BIG FINISHES

The Palm Bay Fury 96 team has finished off the Spring season with an impressive three championship finish. April 19-20, the girls traveled down south for the 2nd Annual Miami Lakes Spring Shootout and came away with a 2nd place trophy against a very tough Miramar Optimist team. May 3-4, the girls competed in our own backyard in the 11th Annual Palm Bay Spring Challenge and rose to the occasion battling back against an amazing Krush Academy team for a 1st place trophy. And, finally, on May 10th, the Fury 96 team finished out their Spring season with their best record (7-0-1) and finish (1st place) ever! Fury 96 is coached by Paul Hoffman and Jody Ballard. The team consists of Breanna A., Marisela A., Brittney B., Megan C., Kennedy D., Jordyn G., Cheyenna H., Carol M., Killian M., Ashley S., and Kayla W. Guest players included Dominique S.

CONGRATULATIONS U16 PBYS TIGERS

Congratulations goes out to our U-16 PBYS Tigers who competed in the recent Palm Bay Spring Challenge. The ONLY coed recreational team that was formed two weeks before the tournament who played against toughest all boys team in the tournament. Even though not winning a game, the Tigers played very hard and played as a team competitively against the stronger teams. It is a triumph of spirit and an experience to cherish. We would like to recognize the following players, Michael, Mercedes, Ashley, Blake, Joey, Madeline, Fabrice, Danielle, Christina, Russell, Grant, Dylan, Sarah, Brittnee, Marina, Tiffany, Brandon and Omar(not in picture).
